Bryndís Bolladóttir graduated in 1999 from Icelandic Academy of the Art, Textile. She has worked independently in textile both in art and design since 2001. Bryndis is a member of The Association Icelandic Designer, The Association of Icelandic Visual Artists and The Icelandic Textile Guild where she is also a board member.
“To me, design is form and function. It has to please the eye and have a good touch. A good design has to have an extra something. I like to experiment with the material and to see it functioning in new ways.
Texture of all material is very important to me. I use colours to give the texture more life, but it has to fit the purpose as well.”
