“My main approach to design is to keep an open eye. My inspiration can be found anywhere – it is about discovering things, for example in your daily life, where you find a certain need for a product or the inspiration can come from other influences like an exhibition, a new material or having a closer look at the moon, which inspired me to play around with random hole structures and led me to create the moon plate for Normann Copenhagen.
In the actual process of letting the idea become a real product I study all types of materials and production methods to make the product special, but yet as simple as possible.”
